Pyroxis
Discord Pantheon - Major God of Fire, Destruction, Ambition
Overview
Pyroxis is the raging forge of ambition, the fire that consumes restraint and transforms desire into domination. His flames ignite rebellion and unbridled hunger, reducing kingdoms to ash so that new empires might rise in their place. He is both the destructive blaze and the alluring spark, the whisper that says “take more, rise higher, burn brighter.” Where Helia’s light nourishes, Pyroxis’s fire devours.

Favoured Offerings
Molten metal poured onto stone altars, burning embers scattered into the wind, crowns and weapons heated in flame until they crack. Some cults demand offerings be thrown into fire and left to be consumed entirely.
Typical Followers
Ambitious warlords, smiths who forge weapons for rebellion, zealots who crave power, and kings who fear losing their throne. Blacksmiths sometimes honour him in secret, believing his flames inspire greatness, while despots openly claim his blessing to justify conquest.
Temples & Orders
Forge-temples where fire is never allowed to die, with open hearths large enough to melt armour and crowns alike. Rebel strongholds sometimes dedicate their smithies to Pyroxis, hammering steel to his rhythm. Cults of the Burning Crown gather in ruined cities, their rituals crowned with firelight that consumes effigies of the old order.
Lore
Myths tell that Pyroxis once wore a crown of pure flame, stolen from the sun itself, which burned away any weakness in those who dared to grasp it. He is seen as the twisted reflection of Cindros, the Harmonious fire tied to inspiration and craft. Where Cindros gives flame to create, Pyroxis gives fire to conquer. Legends also speak of Pyroxis’s rivalry with Helia, his hunger to consume the very dawn she gifts, to turn her sustaining light into devouring fire.
Common Knowledge in Eldoria
“Pyroxis crowns the bold.” Eldorians say this when someone seizes power through reckless means. In smithies, the phrase “the forge burns too hot” is a warning against ambition overtaking skill. Rebels sometimes mark their banners with black crowns of ash, believing Pyroxis fans their cause. Parents scold greedy children with the tale: “Pyroxis burns what he touches, take too much, and you will wear his crown.”
