Scaethan (Pronounced SKAY-thun): Touched by the Discordant Abyss
The Scaethan are born of the strange and terrible influence of the ever-shifting domains of the Discordant Abyss. They are not all born in darkness — some are the result of pacts, others of twisted bloodlines, and some merely of unfortunate proximity to where reality has begun to thin. Their presence in the world is an echo of a deeper realm, where mortals were never meant to tread. At the heart of this unmaking lies Malethos, the Discordant Overlord- god of conflict, chaos, and division. Though he does not rule the Abyss like a monarch, all who dwell within it (from Scaethan spawn to Discordant Lords) exist as part of his great entropy.
