Orraka

Discord Pantheon - Minor God of Earth, Cataclysm, Change

Overview

Orraka is the fury of the earth unbound, the quaking ground that swallows cities and the shifting stone that topples walls. She represents not the nurturing soil of harvests, but the violent upheaval that reshapes the land without care for those who live upon it. Where Terra blesses the steady rhythm of agriculture, Orraka tears furrows in the land that no seed can survive. Her worshippers embrace collapse as renewal, believing that only destruction of the old makes way for the truly new.

Symbol

A cracked stone monolith, often painted with veins of red or black to mimic shattered earth.

Eldorian Name

Orraka (TBD)

Worship

Favoured Offerings

Crystalline geodes split open upon an altar, libations of wine or oil poured into fissures in the ground, or fragments of monuments broken in her name. After earthquakes, common folk pour water or ale into cracks in the soil to appease her.

Typical Followers

Miners who have seen tunnels collapse and live in fear of her wrath, destroyers of monuments who honour her by toppling stone works, and cults of anarchists who see her upheaval as divine justice. Some desperate farmers, when struck by famine, pray to her to shatter their neighbour’s fields rather than their own.

Temples & Orders

Collapsed caverns and shattered quarries often serve as her sanctuaries. Her priests build no temples, for her true altars are found where the earth itself has broken. Orders devoted to Orraka are often wandering prophets of ruin, carrying shards of cracked monoliths as relics. In urban centres, her worship hides in the destruction of statues and the deliberate defacement of stone walls.

Lore

Orraka embodies the restless earth, the voice of stone that breaks under its own weight. Myths claim she stirs in her slumber beneath mountains, and when she turns, the world quakes. Collapsed caverns and shattered monuments are said to be her laughter echoing through the ground. Though feared, she is also respected, for her upheavals create new rivers, reveal hidden veins of ore, and reshape the land. Villagers whisper that Orraka does not destroy in malice but in indifference, caring nothing for what is broken so long as the world continues to change.

Common Knowledge in Eldoria

“When the ground drinks, Orraka stirs” is a phrase muttered after earthquakes or landslides. People pour drink into the soil to calm her fury. Children are warned never to climb cracked cliffs, for “Orraka waits below.” In some mining towns, it is said that if you hear stone groaning before a collapse, it is Orraka laughing.
