Fearstorm

Discord Pantheon - Major God of Madness, Fear, Nightmares

Overview

Fearstorm is the lord of terrors, the storm that rages not in the sky but within the mind. He twists dreams into endless nightmares, shatters courage with whispers of dread, and delights in driving mortals into madness. His storms are unseen: fear that chills spines, shadows that swell into phantoms, and silence that breaks into screams. Where Aquilon rules winds and seas, Fearstorm rules the storm of thought and the trembling heart.

Lore

Legends claim Fearstorm stands at crossroads at midnight, showing mortals the vision of their worst fear. To refuse him is to go mad; to accept is to become his servant. Myths say he was once bound by Aquilon, his storms of terror shackled by true winds, but he broke free when mortals began to dream. It is whispered that Fearstorm invented masks, to show the world what hides behind the face.

Common Knowledge in Eldoria

“Fearstorm rides the night.” Eldorian folk say this when sudden dread falls without cause. Travellers avoid crossroads at midnight, fearing his gaze. Soldiers claim that a trembling hand before battle means Fearstorm has already touched you, and some whisper a prayer to him, begging their courage not be stolen. Children are warned, “If you lie awake too long, Fearstorm will come to play.”
